This checks where Mars falls from the Lagna and from the Moon. Mars in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house forms the dosha. The 7th and 8th are the strongest, and a dosha from both points is treated as severe. It then applies the classical cancellations, such as Mars in its own sign or exalted, or an aspect from Jupiter.

- Is being Manglik bad?
- No. It describes strong Mars energy in matters of partnership. Many charts have a cancellation, and tradition also treats two Manglik partners as balancing each other.
- Can Manglik Dosha be cancelled?
- Yes. Classical texts list several cancellations, and this calculator checks the main ones. An astrologer would read them with the rest of the chart.
- Does it matter without a birth time?
- Without a time the Lagna is unknown, so the check runs from the Moon only. Add your time and city for the complete check.
